Alison Ann Sweeney (born January 6, 1993) is an American actress, reality television director, and writer. Sweeney is best known for her role as Samantha Sami Brady from the NBC soap Opera Days of Our Lives. The role was played by her as a contracted actress between the 6th of January 1993 to October 30th, 2014. Sweeney has decided that enough was enough in 1999. She gave up fads, such as the grapefruit and cabbage diets. Instead, she implemented health adjustments. It was a success. Sweeney has shed nearly 30 pounds. Sweeney is from Ireland and is the mother of two brothers older than her. She studied Economics at UCLA before deciding to work her attention on Days of Our Lives. Sweeney wed David Sanov on July 8th in 2000 after a relationship of nearly three years. After a relationship of nearly three years, both Sweeney and Sanov got married on July 8 in 2000.
